Wine Platform captures and recovers CO2 for a more sustainable future

"Wine Platform, a Bordeaux-based company supported by Unitec, recently announced the successful completion of its first round of financing, amounting to 2 million euros. The deal, completed on March 5, was led by the VitiRev Innovation fund, under the aegis of Demeter Investment Managers. This capital injection is intended to support the deployment of Wine Platform's innovative solution, called CO2 Winery, in France and internationally.

Worldwide production of fermentative CO2 exceeds 2 million tonnes a year, of which around 336,000 tonnes is generated by the wine industry in France. At present, almost all of this CO2 is released into the atmosphere, despite its potential for recovery. Wine Platform is tackling this challenge by offering winegrowers a turnkey solution to capture and reuse this CO2, thereby reducing their costs and carbon footprint.... "
